Everything you need for professional document signing
Why Use Sign PDF Online?
Three Signature Methods
Choose how to create your signature: draw freehand with mouse or touchscreen, type your name with professional script fonts, or upload an existing signature image. Switch between methods anytime to find what works best.
Precise Positioning
Place your signature exactly where you need it. Use preset positions (bottom-right, bottom-left, center) for quick placement, or use custom coordinates to position anywhere on the page with pixel-perfect accuracy.
Flexible Page Selection
Sign all pages, just the first page, only the last page, or select specific pages individually. Perfect for contracts where you need to initial every page or sign only the signature page.
100% Privacy Guaranteed
Your documents and signatures are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server. When you close the tab, all data is gone. Safe for signing confidential contracts and sensitive legal documents.

How It Works
Upload Your PDF
Drag and drop your PDF document into the upload area or click to browse. The tool loads your PDF and shows a preview so you can see exactly where your signature will appear.
Create Your Signature
Choose your preferred method: draw freehand on the canvas, type your name and select from 5 elegant script fonts, or upload an existing signature image. Adjust size and color to match your preference.
Position & Select Pages
Choose where to place your signature using presets or custom positioning. Select which pages to sign: all pages, first only, last only, or pick specific page numbers.
Sign & Download
Click Sign PDF to apply your signature. Preview the result, then download your signed document. The original filename is preserved with '_signed' appended for easy identification.
Tips for Better Signatures
Draw on Tablet for Best Results
If available, use a tablet with stylus for the most natural-looking drawn signatures. The larger drawing area and pen precision create signatures that look hand-drawn.
Always Add the Date
Enable the Date element to add today's date automatically. Choose from 5 formats to match your document's style. Dated signatures are more legally complete.
Add Printed Name for Clarity
Enable Printed Name to add your typed name below the signature. This makes it clear who signed, especially if your handwritten signature is stylized.
Use Initials for Multi-Page Contracts
For contracts requiring initials on every page, enable the Initials element. Use auto-generate from your printed name, or type them manually.
Review Before Signing
Always read documents completely before signing. Electronic signatures are legally binding. Once signed, the document represents your agreement to its terms.
